What’s PC-ABS? It’s a blend of the two polymers - polycarbonate (PC) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS).

Chemical and physical properties: PC/ABS has the combined properties of both PC and ABS.

PC：the excellent mechanical properties and thermal stability.

ABS: the easy processing properties.

PC/ABS hybrid materials also show excellent flow characteristics. The shrinkage rate is around 0.5%.

The conditions of injection mold process- PC/ABS:

Drying treatment: Drying treatment before processing is necessary. Humidity should be less than 0.04%, and the recommended drying conditions are 90~110C, 2~4 hours.

Melting temperature: 230~300C.

Mold temperature: 50~100C.

Injection pressure: depends on the plastic part.

Injection speed: as high as possible.

The application of PC/ABS:

1. Automobile interior and exterior decoration: instrument panel, decorative pillars, instrument front cover, grille, interior and exterior decoration parts

2. Business equipment casings and built-in components: notebook/desktop computers, copiers, printers, plotters, monitors

3. Telecommunications, mobile phone cases, accessories and smart cards (SIM cards):

4. Electrical products, electronic product casings, meter covers and casings, household switches, plugs and sockets, cables and wire ducts

5. Household appliances, such as washing machines, hair dryers, internal and external parts of microwave ovens
